The next two weeks mark the biggest milestone in my entire life. First, turning 21 on the 4th of april, and then getting baptised on the 11th. As strange as it might seem, I used to think: “Oh, when I turn 21, I’m going to throw the biggest party and remember that very day as long as I shall live.” As the date draws closer, I realised that the significance of the day starts to dwindle.
Really, what does turning 21 entail?
In the eyes of a cynic, the fact that you have spend 21 years on Planet Earth really means:
1. You now officially have a reason to throw a bigger-than-ever birthday bash.
2. You can go around announcing to the world, “Hey, I turned 21. I’m throwing a mega party and you’re invited.”
3. People will be understanding and forgive the fact that you’re inadvertently rubbing your birthday in their faces and be obliged to get you a gift.
4. People will also be compelled to show up for your celebratory party (even if it’s for just half an hour), for it IS the 21st birthday!
5. Gifts are expected to be bigger or cost more.
6. This will be a day where you can look back on in years and remember, “That’s how I celebrated entering adulthood”.
7. You can now legally watch a R21 film!
On the flip side, this is also what you’re expected to do: usher in the new title with a big bang.
HAHAHA. Now, don’t get me wrong. I am way too psyched to finally be an adult. I just feel the whole hoo-haa is a little much, but still, see you guys at the party! :)

Oh helloooo, i've been missing in action. haha pretty much stuff happened the past one week! I've gotten myself a job, with not much effort so yay :) Amazing race on monday, replaced lloyd for just a day and anyway we got third! It's super tiring running around Singapore i tell you.
Judgement day on wednesday! I am very thankful for my results. I think god has been far too kind. I'm really happy though cos i never thought i would have survived my major/final year project but i did, and with pretty amazing results :D
Dinner with dan on wednesday and dinner with the pharm darlings on thursday. Friday was the ultimate! haha will blog about it another day. Today was spring cleaning at home cos mummy's coming over tomorrow! My wardrobe's seriously bursting i think i can open a boutique already hehe and it's nat's 18th birthday next sunday! cant wait! haha okay toodles! :)

I think slumdog millionaire is a superbly brilliant movie. Now, go watch it and you'll realize how privileged we really are. It's the sort of movie that aspires to be larger than life and unwittingly ends up being so, affecting the lives of many by the simple virtue of existing. It's like a love story wrapped in contemporary phenomena that excites, entertains and warms the heart. Aww.
Anyway, results are coming out next week zomg! I totally forgot about it till, umm someone mentioned it. hmm i miss school already haha oh and i never knew planning for a party is that mind draining. It's weird but i dont seem to look forward to my 21st that much anymore. hmm lets see, oh yes daddy, mumsie and brandon are coming over next sunday! :)

So now it's the season of Lent, which is a 40 days' fast preceding Easter, the time when i'm going to be baptised! I'm making a conscious effort to attend daily mass and spend more time in prayers, as well as letting go of some things which i had previously found hard to.
Anyway, i'm pretty much unemployed now and with 6 more months before uni? hahah will anyone be a good samaritan and hire me as say, their personal shopper?? i promise i'll do a good job! hahaha
